Our story
A family table in the middle of a Hoi An garden
Bong Farm began as a family kitchen and a patch of garden. Today Bong, her family, and their guests still do the same simple thing: grow good food, cook it together, and share it around one table.
Whether you come to fold dumplings for an afternoon or just to eat well, you’re a guest in Bong’s home — welcomed with real Hoi An hospitality.

The experience in photos
“We take cooking classes in every country we have traveled to. This was a fun & immersive experience. Chef Bong is so kind and sweet and she is very knowledgeable about the cuisine of the Hoi An area. Highly recommend doing a private lesson so you get the intimate experience with her. As I am writing this review I am messaging her to plan the menu for our next class with her. We hosted a dinner party here for 15 guests. Chef Bong prepared an amazing feast for us with authentic Vietnamese delicacies. We all had a great time and left with full & happy bellies.”
Chef BrianLocal Guide · Private class & dinner party“We had a really fun time making and eating dumplings. Bong is a great teacher, light hearted and relaxed. The dumplings were yum, but beware there is a lot of them! The fresh salad was awesome as well.”
“We had great fun doing the dumpling making class with Bong at her lovely restaurant and home. She was such fun and a good teacher. I loved learning how to make the dumplings in different shapes and of course eating them after. More personal — I loved just chatting to Bong. She also catered to us being vegetarian.”
“I can’t rate Bong’s dumpling making class highly enough. A perfect experience with a short garden tour to see all the things we’d be cooking, then we made our own dumplings — from kneading the dough to crafting them for steaming. It’s a family affair, with her sweet mum helping prep. A wonderful experience at a great price!”
“This family run restaurant and little farm is a gem. The location is so peaceful and relaxing. My daughter and I joined the dumpling making workshop — not only were they super fun to make, they were so delicious to eat, along with the amazingly fresh salad from their gardens. Family friendly too.”
“The kids (7 and 10) and I enjoyed a fantastic morning with Bong and her family. She was kind and patient and we enjoyed a quiet morning away from the hustle and bustle of touristy Hoi An. A great activity if you want to support the local community.”
“A wonderful place. The hosts are very welcoming. They prepare everything fresh — you have to wait, but it’s time to slow down and relax. The food is delicious. 👍”
“Very relaxing, quiet and beautiful surroundings, fantastic service and great help from the young daughter. Great selection of home-made cakes, which is very hard to find here in Vietnam. After visiting the beach, I’ll definitely make this my regular spot — 2 mins bike ride from An Bang beach.”
“Delicious and excellent cuisine with beautifully presented dishes. The hosts are very welcoming. It was a great pleasure to discover this restaurant.”
“Delicious authentic Vietnamese food made with love and fresh ingredients grown on their own farm. We were warmly welcomed by the owners, who were incredibly kind and caring. The atmosphere is peaceful, relaxing and full of positive energy. Highly recommended for authentic local food and genuine hospitality.”
